Admit one
Some of the Billet 7 in the audience.....(p.s.See those seats ? They were joined together in units of 3/4. The first time I went into that cinema with my mates, several old timers came into the row behind, picked up a row and BANGED the seating hard on the deck several times then pulled out some canisters and sprayed the seats ! Yeah, the seats were a wild life haven for bed bugs...Alwyn York )
Taffy, ex Billet 7 ?   Pianist. He also featured on the local radio station with a regular weekly request programme.
Taffy also played the trombone !
Anybody recall the Fun Day on the athletics ground which included home made chariot racing and a donkey derby.

( Beats me, I cannot recall this - Alwyn York )

I wanna tell you a story............Yorkshireman Johnny Goodall was in charge of my section and was a really great guy to know. A 2 year man, he left the zone well before me which was February 1956. You know the old saying that if you stand on a corner of Picadilly Circus long enough then you will see everyone you have ever known in your life. Well, not exactly Picadilly Circus but when I married Sheila in January 1957 we left the reception early to travel down to London for a few days honeymoon in the Shaftsbury Hotel just yards from Picadilly Circus. Sunday afternoon took us along the Mall towards Buckingham Palace and guess who we bumped into. Johnny Goodall and his wife who had married on the same day as us and travelled down to the smoke for their honeymoon as well.
What a coincidence. We had a good old natter, went our separate ways and never made contact again. He appears in other photo`s supplied by Jack Garry.
