Plans of Kasfareet 1947 & 1953/4
No 2 Provision and Stock Control Offices (PSCO) were situated in D Hanger from 1949. See just below centre of drawing made from a picture taken in 1947.
Added March 10th 2009

The plans shown below have just recently been meticulously
drawn up by Jack Garry to show the camp layout as it stood
around 1953/4. Congratulations to Jack for all the effort he has put into this project and the persistance he has shown in tracking down data from the web, friends and official service records. He may add to the detail as he studies more old pictures which give insight to buildings and surrounding
areas.

Updated again Apr 12/2009 by Jack. Food Refrigeration building (no 33) added near airmen`s mess-Tent lines ablution block added near YMCA-MT building, Fuel dump and Tyre bay shown in correct order-Parachute packing Shed now in correct position near AIS Test Centre and not near the airfield.
Amazing really...You look closer on Google Earth and you can still clearly see the runway numbers 14, 32, 04 and 09(?) painted on the left hand side of the airfield. 53 years after we left. The main runway appears devastated. I think I read somewhere that the RAF bombed Kasfareet in the 56 conflict.
Anyone have details ?
<---03(05or09)
