July 11th 2009 proved to be a memorable day for 20 old RAF servicemen who shared time at RAF Kasfareet in the Suez Canal Zone in the early 50`s, as they came to the Crowne Plaza Hotel adjacent to the National Exhibition Center at Birmingham. This was the first time that many had met some of their old mates for over half a century and many fond memories were related during the course of the day. Not only did they come from the far corners of the land, John Wreglesworth had travelled from Canada for the event but even this was surpassed by Walter Hilsden who travelled half way round the world from New Zealand !
